Alice CandorBeing chased by a dog suggests that you are experiencing the pressure of a loyalty that has soured or a devotion that now feels like a threat. This dream points to a movement where something you once relied upon, or perhaps a person you once trusted, has turned into a force that pursues you with a relentless and predatory intent. You may find yourself reacting to a shadow of your own past commitments, feeling the weight of a bond that no longer offers protection but instead demands a flight from its presence.
The pursuit marks a moment where the boundaries of your safety are being tested by the very things that were meant to guard you. You might be feeling the exhaustion of a life spent looking over your shoulder at an old alliance that has become an adversary. This dream holds the tension of a connection that has lost its warmth and become a hunt. An old way of being faithful to a person or an idea is now a ghost that tracks your every step. You are already navigating the complex terrain of these shifting allegiances.
Chasing a dog, chasing dogs, or following a dog shifts the focus from being the hunted to being the seeker of what has been lost. In these dreams, you are the one attempting to close the distance with an estranged sense of trust. This movement suggests that you are trying to reclaim a piece of your own integrity or a relationship that has wandered away from its original purpose.
Running from a dog or running away from a dog indicates that your primary response to this tension is a desperate need for distance. This movement shows that you are currently prioritizing the preservation of your own peace over the resolution of the conflict. The act of fleeing suggests that the pressure of this pursuit is so high that you can only find relief through temporary withdrawal.
A dog chasing someone transforms the general sense of pursuit into a specific confrontation with another. You are facing a person or a duty that has moved from a background presence to an active, pressing demand on your life. The dream becomes a map of how you handle the approach of an external demand that feels aggressive.

Alice CandorInterpreter interprets your dreams
The figure that keeps coming back in a dream has usually been waiting a long time to be looked at. A dream tends to bring forward the side of a life that daylight leaves out. What feels alien in it might be the part of you most in need of a hearing. Nothing has to be settled tonight. Which detail stayed with you after waking?
