Alice CandorHarvesting sweet potatoes suggests a movement toward uncovering the rewards that have been growing beneath the surface of your life. This dream may point to a period where the nourishment you seek is no longer a distant hope but a tangible reality waiting to be brought into the light. You are navigating the process of bringing what is hidden and substantial into the awareness of your waking world.
The act of bringing these roots to the surface shows a shift from simply lasting through a season to finally tasting what you have grown. This movement carries the possibility of finding that some parts of your work have failed to produce, leaving you with nothing to show for the effort. You find that the harvest is a way of meeting the results of your own persistence. It is a way of settling the account with your own efforts.
Digging sweet potatoes means you must reach into the dark earth to grasp what you have grown. You find that ease comes from the strength of your own hands as they work the soil. The dream becomes a study of the contact between your hands and the soil of your own history.
